Study Overview
Brief Summary
Migraine is the third most prevalent disease and sixth leading cause of disability world wide. 12% of the population including children suffers from Migraine and most suffers experience Migraine attacks once or twice a month. More than 90% of the sufferers are unable to work or function normally during their Migraine as it affects their day to day life. In its extremely severe form, it poses a great therapeutic challenge to the treating physician.
Homoeopathy plays a great role in the treatment of Migraine. Homoeopathic medicines not only annihilate the disease in its whole extent in the shortest, most reliable and most harmless way, but also prevent the complications associated with it. The treatment of Migraine with Homoeopathic medicines has proved to cure the cases miraculously by treating the root cause of the disease and giving the patient a long term relief from the suffering by treating the vital force at a dynamic level hence preventing the further recurrence of the disease.
The Homoeopathic Medical Repertory by Robin Murphy is a modern alphabetical repertory. A separate chapter on Headache has been added in the second and third edition of this book. The chapter on Headache has very useful rubrics related to Migraine and can be used for systemic Repertorization. All types of cases can be repertorized using this Repertory.

Inclusion Criteria
- •Sample of 95 patients with Common and Classical Migraine, of both sexes with the age group of 18 years to 70 years.
- •Patients suffering from Common and Classical Migraine, screened using Migraine Screen Questionnaire and diagnosed based on International Classification of Headache Disorders-2 (ICHD-2) diagnostic criteria.
Exclusion Criteria
- •Pregnant women
- •Patients with psychiatric complaints
- •Pediatric Cases
- •Patients suffering from headache with other systemic diseases.
Outcomes
Primary Outcomes
Improvement of score in MIDAS, HIT-6 and MSQoL questionnaire.
Time Frame: 24 months
Secondary Outcomes
- MIDAS score, MSQoL score, HIT 6 score will be reduced at the end of study period.(At baseline and at the end of the study)
