Inclusion Criteria
1. Patients with an acute periprosthetic joint infection (hip or knee) between 2008-2018
2. Treated with surgical debridement, antibiotics and implant retention (DAIR)
Exclusion Criteria
1. Culture negative periprostetic joint infections (negative intraoperative cultures during DAIR)
2. A follow-up of less than 2 years.

Name Time Method Evaluate the differences in diagnostic and therapeutic management of patients with a periprosthetic joint infection in the University Hospital for Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery Pius-Hospital and the University Medical Center Groningen. Developing mutual recommendations for the diagnosis and treatment of periprosthetic joint infections.
