Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1\. Patients of age \- 15 years and above.
  • •2\. Patients with Isolated blunt chest trauma requiring closed tube thoracostomy.

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\.Penetrating chest injuries.
  • •2\.Associated injuries requiring antibiotic administration.
  • •3\.Patient requiring ventilator support.
  • •4\.Known pulmonary disease/ Immuno\-compromised patients.
  • •5\.Patient with chest trauma requiring open thoracotomy.
  • •6\.Those already on antibiotics for some other injuries/illness.
  • •7\.Patients who will not give consent.
