Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\. Patients of age \- 15 years and above.
- •2\. Patients with Isolated blunt chest trauma requiring closed tube thoracostomy.
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\.Penetrating chest injuries.
- •2\.Associated injuries requiring antibiotic administration.
- •3\.Patient requiring ventilator support.
- •4\.Known pulmonary disease/ Immuno\-compromised patients.
- •5\.Patient with chest trauma requiring open thoracotomy.
- •6\.Those already on antibiotics for some other injuries/illness.
- •7\.Patients who will not give consent.
