Volleyball is one of the most popular overhead sports and involves repetitive high velocity shoulder movements such as spiking and serving These demanding overhead actions place significant stress on the shoulder complex often leading to overuse injuries such as rotator cuff tendinitis impingement instability and scapular dyskinesia Scapular asymmetry alters normal shoulder biomechanics reduces functional efficiency and increases injury risk in volleyball players Proper scapular positioning and coordinated movement rely heavily on proprioception which provides neuromuscular control joint stability and optimal dynamic performance Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation PNF is a neuromuscular training method designed to enhance coordinated movement through specific patterns resistance and sensory feedback Research suggests that scapular PNF may improve muscle balance scapular alignment range of motion and functional shoulder performance but evidence regarding its effect on scapular asymmetry in volleyball players remains limited Therefore this study aims to evaluate the Effect of Scapular PNF on Scapular Asymmetry and Functional Performance during Shoulder Elevation in the Scapular Plane among Volleyball Players This experimental study will recruit male volleyball players aged 18 to 30 years with clinically identifiable scapular asymmetry Participants will be divided into two groups Group A will receive a structured four week scapular PNF training program while Group B will perform their routine exercises Outcome measures include scapular position assessment using an inclinometer and functional performance through standardized overhead testing Pre and post intervention scores will be compared to determine improvement The study is expected to provide evidence supporting scapular PNF as an effective intervention to reduce scapular asymmetry enhance movement efficiency improve shoulder stability and contribute to injury prevention The findings may assist physiotherapists in establishing evidence based rehabilitation strategies for overhead athletes and optimizing performance in volleyball players

  • 1 Individuals aged 18 to 30 years 2 Only male participants will be selected 3 Individuals participating in volley ball players 4 Presence of noticeable scapular asymmetry as determined by clinical evaluation Using clinical test for scapular dyskinesia 5 Willing to sign consent form.

排除标准

  • 1 Individuals with diagnosed Bilateral shoulder pathologies 2 History of significant neurological disorders affecting upper extremity function 3 Shoulder surgery within the last six months 4 Individuals with contraindications to physical assessment 5 Individuals involved in other research projects that might affect the outcome of current study.
