Adolescents should be classified as obese according to criteria of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC, 2000) (BMI> P95th); with pubertal maturational stage (stages 3 and 4) according to criteria established by Tanner (1976); considered fit to participate in a program of 12 weeks of physical exercises after cardiological evaluation (resting electrocardiogram).
Individuals who present self-reported genetic; metabolic; endocrine diseases; report chronic alcohol consumption; prior drug use; pregnancy during the intervention.
