Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1.Patients with Alcohol Dependence Syndrome as per ICD-10
- •2.Male patients in the age range of 18-60 years
- •3.Willing to get admitted as independent patient
Exclusion Criteria
- •1.Dependence on other substances except nicotine and caffeine
- •2.Significant liver impairment ( liver enzymes increased more than 3 times) and unstable medical disorder
- •3.History of complicated withdrawals in the past (DT, Withdrawal Seizures etc)
- •4.History of hypersensitivity to diazepam, lorazepam and oxazepam
- •5.Active psychotic patient
- •6.Acutely suicidal patient
- •7.Intoxicated patient
