Inclusion Criteria
Neonates admitted to NICU inborn OR outborn transferred in within first 24 hours of life
With gestational age less than or equal to 30 weeks who survived till discharge
Whose parents are willing to participate
Exclusion Criteria
Babies with major malformations or requiring major surgery
Babies with hemolytic disease
Informed consent not obtained

Name Time Method To compare the proportion of neonates less than or equalto 30 weeks of gestation at birth; who receive <br/ ><br>transfusions <br/ ><br>between 2 groups Before and After implementation of Blood Conservation Strategies, <br/ ><br>up to 44 weeks post menstrual ageTimepoint: 44 weeks PMA
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method To compare between the 2 groups: <br/ ><br>1. Mean transfusion events per neonate <br/ ><br>2. Mean of Cumulative estimated volumes of intensive care associated blood losses during <br/ ><br>hospital stay. <br/ ><br>3. Outcomes- maximum drop in Hemoglobin, proportions of :sepsis, BPD, IVH grade 3 and <br/ ><br>more, ROP requiring laser, NEC Stage 2 and above. <br/ ><br>4. Median duration of hospital stay and arterial line daysTimepoint: 18 month
