. Patients who have the first or second molars with periodontal pocket depth of 6 mm or more, bleeding or purulent exudate during probing, loss of alveolar bone on the periapical radiograph, and clinically found ovoid edema in the gingiva along the side of the root in normal body temperature (36.4~36.7°C).
? Those taking medications that can affect periodontal disease (calcium channel blockers, phenytoin, cyclosporine, warfarin, aspirin, clopidogrel)
?Uncontrolled hypertension, diabetes, heart disease, and smokers (excluding those who smoked 10 years ago)
? Pregnant or lactating women, and patients with a history of tetracycline allergy.
? In case of other causes than periodontitis, such as intragingival foreign body impaction, endodontic lesions, or tooth cracks
? When the extent of the abscess includes adjacent teeth
? Those who took antibiotics one month before treatment or took antibiotics and anti-inflammatory drugs after treatment
? Those with cervical lymphadenitis added after treatment
