Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • 1\)Age of patient 18 \-80 years.
  • 2\)Patient undergoing elective lumbar spinal surgery for an extradural pathology.
  • 3\) Patients who provide informed written consent for participation in the study

Exclusion Criteria

  • (1\)Intradural pathologies
  • (2\)Pathologies involving the cervical spine and thoracic spine
  • (3\)History of any psychiatric illness in the patient
  • (4\)Patients with severe respiratory cardiac, hepatic or renal dysfunction
  • (5\)Patients who have undergone a previous lumbar spine surgery.
  • (6\)History of allergy to any of the drugs being used in the cocktail.
  • (7\)Patients with ASA grade of more than 3\.
  • (8\)Patients who are on antiplatelet drugs like aspirin and anticoagulants
  • (9\)Patients with previous history of thromboembolism.
