Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\. ASA physical status i\-iii
- •2\. Age group of 18\-70
- •3\.BMI \< 30
- •4\. Candidates posted for upper abdominal surgeries and surgical duration expected to exceed beyond 2 hours
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\.Mechanical ventilation of \> 1 hour within the last 2 weeks before surgery
- •2\. Body mass index ââ?°Â¥ 35 kg/m2
- •3\. Acute respiratory failure (pneumonia, acute lung injury or acute respiratory distress syndrome)
- •\- Emergency surgery
- •\- Sepsis or septic shock
- •\- Progressive neuromuscular illness
- •\- Intra\-thoracic surgery
- •\- Pregnancy
- •\- Orbital tumors
- •\- Optic neuritis
