Patients age > 50 years with primary bilateral OA knees and scheduled for sequential (simultaneous) bilateral TKA
- Kellgren-Lawrence classification III-IV for OA knees
- Previous knee surgery
- History of knee infection
- History of thromboembolic event or bleeding disorder
- History of current anticoagulants taking within 7 days prior to surgery
- Inflammatory joint disease e.g. rheumatoid arthritis
- Knee deformity which complex TKA is performed e.g. stem insertion, bone or metal augmentation
