Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • 1\. Adult patients of either sex, aged 18 to 65 years.
  • 2\. Patients belonging to the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Grade 1 and 2\.
  • 3\. Patients scheduled for transcranial craniotomy for meningioma excision.

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1\.Any patient/guardian refusing to provide consent to participate in the study
  • 2\.Loss to follow up of the patients for 3 months.
  • 3\.Patients with a history of blood transfusion within the last three months.
  • 4\.Patients with pre\-existing significant systemic diseases like hepatic or renal diseases, leukemias, etc.
  • 5\.Patients with significant coagulopathies or hematological abnormality, those on anticoagulants, or with deranged International Normalised Ratio (INR).
  • 6\.Patients with recurrent tumors posted for re\-do surgery.
  • 7\.Patients with a history of embolization
  • 8\.Patients posted for endoscopic excision of the tumor
  • 9\.ASA grade 3 and 4 patients
