• Age: 18 - 75 years
• fully dentulous in the upper jaw (no prosthetic restorations on the upper anterior teeth, as the measurements for determining the gingival biotype are made here)
• healthy periodontium (no acute or healed periodontal diseases)
• no medication that can cause gingival hyperplasia (e.g. anticonvulsants, immunosuppressants, calcium antagonists)
• no previous surgery in the region to be examined (anterior lateral palate)
• already existing radiographic data, which was done during therapy and is not older than 1 year at the time of impression taking and was taken with 0.3 voxel mm or 0.2 voxel mm
• Age under 18 years
• not fully dentulous in the upper jaw
• periodontal diseases
• medication with gingival hyperplasia as a possible secondary effect
• previous surgical intervention in the palatal region
Study & Design

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method To answer the current questions of the relationship between palatal soft tissue thickness and modern imaging capabilities in dentistry. A three-dimensional evaluation method will be used to measure the area of the soft tissue in order to be able to make a statement about the volume and local distribution of the best graft donor sites.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method no secondary endpoint
