Inclusion Criteria
ASA II and above patients above 45 years
with one of the following
1. Coronary artery disease
2. NIDDM
3. cerebrovascular accident
4. peripheral vascular disease
undergoing major abdominal surgery lasting more than 4 hours
Exclusion Criteria
1.emergency surgery
2.Preoperative ventilation or COPD
3.Renal dysfunction creatinine more than 1.5
4.CAD EF less than 35%
5.AST ALT more than twice normal
