Inclusion Criteria
- •) Patients ASA (American society of anesthesia) 1\-3 physical status
- •2\)Age 18\-80 year of either sex
- •3\)Patients undergoing major abdominal surgery
Exclusion Criteria
- •) Patients refusal
- •2\) Infection at site of epidural needle insertion
- •3\) Coagulopathy or bleeding disorder
- •4\) Increased intracranial pressure
- •5\) Allergy to local anesthetics
- •6\) Pregnancy
- •7\) Severe hypotension, hypovolemia
- •8\) History of known allergy to drugs used in the study
- •9\) Any other relative contraindication of epidural anesthesia
- •10\) Blockage or intrathecal migration of epidural catheter during intraoperative or postoperative period.
