Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Patients who are put on invasive mechanical ventilation for a period more than 48 hours and are undergoing elective extubation following a fixed ICU weaning protocol.
- •Patients more than 18 years of age
Exclusion Criteria
- •COPD patients
- •Contraindication to use of non invasive ventilation
- •Younger than 18 years of age
- •Pregnant patients
- •Refusal to enroll in study
