Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\. Written consent (either patient or legal guardian)
- •2\. Age \=18 years
- •3\. Clinical indication for echocardiography
- •4\. Surgical intervention with an indication for advanced hemodynamic monitoring using TEE under endotracheal intubation/tracheostomy or ventilated intensive care patients who are being treated in intensive care units and mechanically ventilated for another indication, without prior surgery
Exclusion Criteria
- •\- Pregnant and breastfeeding women
- •\- Contraindication to performing a TEE
- •\- Participation in another prospective intervention study while participating in this study
- •\- Exclusion of participation in the study in a living will or power of attorney
- •\- Accommodation by court or official order
- •\- Consent of legal guardian cannot be obtained promptly
