Patients:
- Current or former patient of the palliative medical consultation service, inpatient or outpatient palliative care or neurological care
- Mother tongue German or fluent in German (understanding, reading, answering), sufficient knowledge of English (understanding)
- Place of residence in Germany
- age >=18
- Ability to give informed written consent (if the patient is physically unable to sign, there is an independent witness who i) is not employed at the trial site or in an otherwise relationship of dependency, ii) speaks German (understanding, reading, responding) and iii) is able to give written informed consent on behalf of the patient)
Health care professionals:
- Extensive clinical and medical experience in palliative and / or neurological patient care
- Currently working in palliative care or neurology
- proficient in the German language (understanding, reading, answering), sufficient knowledge of English (understanding)
- age >=18
- Prior study information and written informed consent
Patients:
- Cognitive or communicative impairment such that the requirements of the study cannot be met even with the addition of medical aids
- Limited life expectancy of a few days
- Absence or subsequent withdrawal of consent to take part in the interview
Health care professionals:
- Missing or subsequently withdrawn consent to participate in the study

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method The aim is the cross-cultural adaptation and translation of the IPOS Neuro-S8. To this end, both health care professionals working in neurological and / or palliative patient care will be interviewed by means of semi-structured interviews and a panel of experts will be held (scheduled for June and July 2020).
