Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1.American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I â?? III.
- •2.Age 18-70 years
- •3.Scheduled to undergo elective surgery and tracheal intubation using direct laryngoscopy
- •4.Laryngeal view recorded as Modified Cormack Lehane >= 2b
Exclusion Criteria
- •1.Patient refusal
- •2.Pregnancy
- •3.Predictors of difficult airway requiring awake intubation:
- •a) Oropharyngeal pathologies
- •b) Body Mass Index > 35kg/m2
- •b) Limited Cervical spine mobility
- •c) Restricted mouth opening
- •d) History of difficult laryngoscopy or intubation.
- •4.High risk of aspiration
- •a)Full stomach
- •b)Emergency surgeries
- •c)Hiatus hernia
- •d)Gastro-oesophageal reflux
