Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • •1\.American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I â?? III.
  • •2\.Age 18\-70 years
  • •3\.Scheduled to undergo elective surgery and tracheal intubation using direct laryngoscopy
  • •4\.Laryngeal view recorded as Modified Cormack Lehane \>\= 2b

Exclusion Criteria

  • •1\.Patient refusal
  • •2\.Pregnancy
  • •3\.Predictors of difficult airway requiring awake intubation:
  • •a) Oropharyngeal pathologies
  • •b) Body Mass Index \> 35kg/m2
  • •b) Limited Cervical spine mobility
  • •c) Restricted mouth opening
  • •d) History of difficult laryngoscopy or intubation.
  • •4\.High risk of aspiration
  • •a)Full stomach
