•Patients with a diagnosis of
oResectable periampullary carcinoma, duodenal tumor and carcinoma head of pancreas
oChronic pancreatitis with suspicious mass in head of pancreas
oPatients with borderline resectability will also be included in both arms.
•Patient requiring a pancreaticoduodenectomy
•ASA Grade I-II patients
•Metastatic or unresectable disease
•Patient unwilling to consent for the study
•Patients who necessarily will need gastric resection due to infiltration of stomach etc.
•Patients with severe comorbidity such as myocardial infarction, respiratory disorder that required oxygen inhalation, liver cirrhosis, hemodialysis (ASA grade III or more)
•Concomitant other malignancy
