1) Adult patients >15 years
2) > 15 % flame/electric/scald/chemical (2nd and 3rd degree) burns
3) Time elapsed since burns not > 12 hrs
an
1) < 15 years of age
2) < 15% TBSA burns
3) Index presentation > 12 hours
4) Pregnant patients
5) Known comorbidities like COPD, CKD, CLD and CHF
6) Who received fluids other than RL and isotonic bicarbonate prior to admission
