Inclusion Criteria
Patients posted for unilateral leg surgeries of less than 2 hours duration. Only ASA physical status 1 and 2 patients are studied.
Exclusion Criteria
Infection at site of injection
Deranged renal and hepatic function
Allergic to ropivacaine
Peripheral neuropathy involving leg

Name Time Method To find out the minimum effective anaesthetic concentration of ropivacaine required for ultrasound guided popliteal sciatic nerve block in 90% of the population (MEAC90).Timepoint: Assessed by sensory blockade within 30 minutes of injection
