Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • 1\.Adult Type 2 diabetes with Distal Symmetrical Polyneuropathy
  • 2\.Type 1 diabetes with DPN above the age of 17 years
  • 3\.Ability to walk without assistance of devices

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1\.A history or evidence on physical examination of significant central nervous system dysfunction (i.e., hemiparesis, myelopathy, and cerebellar ataxia)
  • 2\.Significant musculoskeletal deformity \[i.e., amputation, scoliosis, abnormality of range of motion (ROM)] that would prevent participation
  • 3\.Lower extremity arthritis or pain that limits exercise.
  • 4\.A history or clinical evidence of severe cardiovascular disease that may limit or contraindicate exercise.
  • 5\.Symptomatic postural hypotension defined as a fall in blood pressure (i.e., \>20 mm Hg for systolic or \>10 mm Hg for diastolic blood pressure) in response to postural change, from supine to standing.
  • 6\.A history or evidence on physical examination of plantar skin pressure ulcer.
  • 7\.Patient unable to sense monofilament more than 6\.65 SWM at baseline.
  • 8\.Patients Already being on treatment with drugs for neuropathy
  • 9\.Other forms of neuropathy being secondary to diabetes
