Inclusion Criteria
weight 50 kg to 70 kg
ASA I and II
Elective surgery requiring tracheal intubation
Exclusion Criteria
inadequate mouth opening ( < 2.5 cms),predicted difficult airway,intraoral pathology,cardio-respiratory disease (hypertension, chronic obstructive airway disease, ischaemic heart disease), cerebro-vascular disease, reflux oesophagitis, a history of sore throat within the past 10 days or complaints regarding difficulty in opening the mouth.
