- •undergoing elective open thoracotomy

- •patient refusal,
- •allergy to the study drugs,
- •morbid obesity,
- •patients under pain control for the last 24 hours,
- •patients unable to use PCA (Patient Controlled Analgesia)
- •patients with neuropathies
