Inclusion Criteria
Patients treated on HD since at least 3 months
Exclusion Criteria
Hospitalized patients.
Inability to understand and/or to comply with the study.
Expected survival less than 6 months.
Major physical handicap preventing the patient to perform the physical tests at admission.
Inability to wear a pedometer during 1 week.

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method The primary endpoint is the increase in physical activity as determined by the daily number of steps measured with a pedometer.<br>This will be measured at baseline and after the intervention, i.e. after 9 weeks.
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method The increase in physical function as determined by 3 functional tests, i.e. the 6-minute walk, the Get up and Go” test and a strength’s test of lower limbs. <br>The increase in quality of life will be measured using the SF36 questionaire modified for dialysis patients.<br>This will be measured at baseline and after the intervention, i.e. after 9 weeks.<br>
