Type 2 Diabetes mellitus patients to be initiated with basal-bolus insulin regimen or premixed insulin regimen as antidiabetic therapy, uncontrolled on diet and lifestyle modifications and oral antidiabetics. Willing to provide written informed consent.
1. Receiving medications that interfere with blood sugar level, ie steroids.
2. Pregnant or lactating mothers
3. Chronic liver / renal impairment
4. Acutely ill patients
5. Physically unfit / unable to follow up
6. Unstable hemodynamics - admitted in IC
