1) Distorted Local anatomy (as in trauma)

2) Pre-existing infection or ulceration at site of insertion

3) Thrombus within the subclavian vein

4) Coagulopathy (INR >1.5)

Malposition of catheter after performing subclavian vein catheterizationTimepoint: Within half an hour of completing the procedure, checking the position of catheter by chest x ray;Number of attempts required to insert the subclavian vein catheterTimepoint: After the procedure is completed, immediately calculating the number of attempts required to complete the procedure;Time taken to insert infraclavicular subclavian vein catheter <br/ ><br>Timepoint: During the procedure, will record the time taken to complete the procedure;To assess complications including hematoma, cannulation failure, subclavian arterial puncture, brachial plexus injury, hemothorax and pneumothorax, after performing subclavian vein catheterizationTimepoint: Time point for <br/ ><br>1. Hematoma -- withinin 2 hrs <br/ ><br>2. Cannulation failure- immediate <br/ ><br>3. Subclavian artery puncture- immediate <br/ ><br>4.
