Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Included will be patients over 18 years that are reffered to the department of vascular and endovascular surgery (University Hospital Heidelberg). Aortic type B dissection will be diagnosed with Computer tomography angiography (CT\-A) or magnetic resonance angiography (MR\-A) independetly to the study protocol. Both complicated, uncomplicated acute and chronic type B dissections will be included into the study.
- •Patients give their written consent for genetic analysis and skin biopsy.
Exclusion Criteria
- •pregnant women, age \< 18, traumatic aortic dissection, refusal of patient consent, local anesthetic intolerance (no skin biopsy!)
