Perform kidney scintigraphy for a clinical indication (relevant risk of developing renal damage due to planned potential nephrotoxic therapy (e.g., radiotherapy)),
• Age =18 years,
• Written consent of the patient.
Pregnant / lactating women,
Presence of non-MRI-compatible implants or any type of metal in and on the body, (e.g., pacemakers, artificial heart valves, metal prosthesis, implanted magnetic metal parts, spiral, etc.),
patients who report hearing disorder or increased sensitivity to loud noises,
patients with limited temperature sensation and / or increased sensitivity to warming of the body,
patients who suffer from claustrophobia,
obesity >150 kg body weight,
patients who do not want to be informed about incidental findings,
limited ability to consent of the patient.
Study & Design
- Study Type
- interventional
- Study Design
- Not specified
- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Recording of potential morphological and functional changes of the renal parenchyma by means of fMRI and the subsequent correlation of the MR data with the reference standard (various laboratory parameters, kidney scintigraphy, if necessary follow-up).
- Secondary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method Development of a score using MRI, laboratory parameters and scintigraphy to predict the likelihood of later onset of nephropathy (predictive value).
