Inclusion Criteria
1.Age between 18-65 years of either sex belonging to ASA-I-II.
2.Elective surgery in supine position requiring general anaesthesia with endotracheal
intubation.
Exclusion Criteria
1.Pre operative sore throat or cold
2.Intraoral surgeries
3.Asthma, COPD
4.Known allergies to study drug
5.Pregnant patients
6.Anticipated difficult airway

Name Time Method Assessment of post operative sore throat graded on 4 point scale (0-3) <br/ ><br> <br/ ><br>0-No sore throat <br/ ><br>1-Mild sore throat(upon asking only patient complaints of sore throat) <br/ ><br>2-Moderate sore throat (patient himself complaints of sore throat) <br/ ><br>3-Severe sore throat (change of voice or hoarseness associated with throat pain)Timepoint: At 0th hour and then at 2nd, 6th, 12th, 24th hour
