Inclusion Criteria
1) Age group: 53 to 65 years
2) Operated eye to be first eye procedure
3) Phacoemulsification with topical anesthesia
4) Pt willing to participate in study and has given
informed consent
Exclusion Criteria
1) Recent Myocardial infarction
2) Chronic systemic disease(To avoid bias)
3) Hard of hearing
4) Previous ocular surgery
5) Psychiatric patients
6) Stroke
7) Chronic renal failure(To avoid bias)

- Primary Outcome Measures
Name Time Method We anticipate that there will be an anxiolytic effect of music and improved surgical experience for first time patients of cataract surgery. We also predict that the surgeon will report better cooperation from the patient in the music group compared to the control group.Timepoint: The time points are pre operatively, intraoperatively (before starting the surgery,during capsulorhexis and after IOL implantation) and 15 min after surgery
