Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\.Patient with a primary diagnosis of Social Anxiety Disorder with or without anxious avoidant personality disorder (AAPD), as per DSM\-IV criteria.
- •2\.Aged between 18\-50years.
- •3\.Patients fluent in English or Hindi.
- •4\.Minimum education up to class VII.
- •5\.Stabilization of medications for the 2 month period prior to entry into the study.
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\.History of head injury, epilepsy, history suggestive of organic disorders.
- •2\. A primary diagnosis of Schizophrenia or Psychosis, Bipolar Affective Disorder, Severe Depressive Episode, current psychoactive substance dependence and mental retardation.
- •3\.Patients who have received structured psychological intervention for social anxiety in the last one\-year.
