Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •Newly diagnosed patients of stable chronic plaque psoriasis in the age group of 10\-18yrs
Exclusion Criteria
- •Children under age of 10 years
- •Adults more than 18 years
- •Patients with other skin diseases known to be associated with metabolic syndrome such as vitiligo, acanthosis nigricans, lichen planus, androgenetic alopecia and systemic lupus erythematosus.
- •Patients with history of smoking and alcoholism.
- •Patients receiving systemic therapy for psoriasis like systemic retinoids, immunosuppressants for at least 6 weeks and any topical therapy for 4 weeks prior to enrollment in the study.
- •Patients taking other medications known to cause hyperglycemia, hypertension and hyperlipidemia within 72 hours prior to enrollment in the study.
- •Patients with history of endocrine disease like cushing disease, acromegaly, phaeochromocytoma, hyperthyroidism, glucagonoma.
