Inclusion Criteria

1. Symptomatic patient fitting into diagnostic criteria of CTS as defined above

will be taken.

2. Age group between 30-60 years of both sexes is taken to study.

More common in females than in males, its occurrence is commonly bilaterally

with a peak age range of40 to 60 years, considering patients with occupational

CTS age limit 30-60, and both sexes are taken to study

Exclusion Criteria

1. Pregnancy

Symptoms of CTS are common in the latter months of pregnancy, probably

because of rising tissue pressures due to fluid retention. In the majority of instances,

the symptoms promptly resolve with delivery(13)

2. CTS induced by other systemic diseases such as diabetes mellitus, rheumatoid

arthritis, etc

3. Patients who had previously undergone carpal tunnel release surgery.

4. Previous injuries including fractures of the wrist.
