Inclusion Criteria
1) Acute Febrile illness
(Defined as fever < 1 week without localizing source)
2) Moderate to severe thrombocytopenia defined as Platelet count < 1,00,000
Exclusion Criteria
1.Patients on anticoagulation or known coagulation disorder
2.Patients who have received any blood product transfusion 48 hours prior to screening
3.Patients who have undergone heparin dialysis 48 hours prior to screening
