1) ASA class I-IV (under 70 years old) – Refer to ASA (American society of anesthesiologist) classification
2) Patients undergoing general anesthesia + spine surgery with prone position
3) Patients who have at least one of the following clinical signs after completion of anesthesia induction
(Hypotensive, preload-dependent patients)
I. Mean arterial pressure(MAP)<65mmHg
II. Systolic blood pressure <90 or patients whose systolic blood pressure has initially dropped to less than 40 mmHg
III. Stroke volume variation(SVV)>10%
1) 70 years or older
2) patients with radial artery malformation;
3) Patients with body mass index (BMI) >30 or <15kg/m2
4) Patients with heart disease (valvular disease or Left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF)<50% and arrythmia)
5) Patients with lung disease
6) Patients unable to mount the radial artery catheter (arm save);
- Patients on dialysis for ESRD or who will be on dialysis
-Patients with a history of breast cancer surgery
7) Patients with kidney disease
