Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •1\. Fracture proximal femur surgery under subarachnoid block and likely to have pain while positioning.
- •2\. patient able to understand VAS(visual analogue scale) regarding assessment of pain.
- •3\. patient conformed to American society of anaesthesiologist (ASA) physical status 1 to 3 in preoperative assessment
- •4\. Patient able to give written and informed consent.
Exclusion Criteria
- •1\. patients with contraindication to subarachnoid block.
- •2\. Patients with significant history of drug or alcohol abuse.
- •3\. Patients with multiple fractures.
- •4\. patients refusal and unable to understand VAS score.
- •5\. use of analgesics 8hr before performance of subarachnoid block
- •6\. Morbid obesity
- •7\. patients with other comorbid conditions like Diabetes Mellitus ,Hypertension ,IHD,bronchial asthama ,COPD,neuromuscular and musculoskeletal disease.
