1. Patients clinically diagnosed as localized or Generalized mild to moderate Chronic Periodontitis [According to the AAP 1999 classification]
2. Probing Pocket depth of 5-7mm with two or more teeth
3. No periodontal treatment rendered within the past 6 months
1. Third molars
2. Patients with endodontic-periodontal lesions
3. Patients using tobacco or tobacco related products
4. Patients with history of antibiotic therapy within past 3 months
5. Patients with known allergy to turmeric and chlorhexidine
6. Patients with any systemic diseases
7. Pregnant women and lactating mothers
