Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • 1\.Patients of ASA grade I and II
  • 2\.Patients undergoing elective surgery requiring endotracheal intubation (Duration less than 3 hours)

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1\.Patients not willing to participate in the study
  • 2\.Surgeries of oral cavity and pharynx
  • 3\.Anticipated difficult airway
  • 4\.More than 2 attempts at intubation
  • 5\.Use of nasogastric or orogastric tube perioperatively
  • 6\.Patients with upper respiratory tract infection
  • 7\.Patients on steroids
