Inclusion Criteria

Mothers and infants were entered to the study with no previous known disease (i.e. heart disease, kidney disease etc.) and no pregnancy complications such as deformity, preeclampsia etc. as well as willing to participate in the study. As another inclusion criteria of this study, the mothers who have only received vitamin D supplementation during pregnancy and resided in Birjand were examined.

Exclusion Criteria

Neonates and their mothers were excluded if they did not meet the selection criteria above.
