Individuals may participate if they have a diagnosed paranoid psychosis (F20-F29), are between 18 and 60 years of age, and give written informed consent to participate in the study.
- Pre-existing conditions of the heart or lungs,
- uncontrolled diabetes mellitus,
- pre-existing diseases affecting the immune system (autoimmune diseases, e.g. Hashimoto-Thyroiditis, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, etc.), Thyroiditis, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, etc.),
- rheumatological pre-existing diseases (e.g. rheumatism, arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, etc.)
- acute thromboses,
- implants in the trained body regions (e.g. artificial joints, partial prostheses),
- metal implants in the head region (e.g. deep brain stimulator, fixed braces)
- Acute inflammation of muscles, tendons or joints,
- chronic infectious diseases (e.g. HIV, hepatitis)
- cardiac pacemaker,
- an acute back problem (e.g. herniated disc),
- fresh bone fractures in the trained body regions,
- stone disease of bile ducts and urinary tract,
- severe head injuries or operations (acute or ever),
- diseases affecting the muscles, joints or bones,
- diseases that may affect the brain (e.g. epilepsy, multiple sclerosis),
- addictive diseases,
- current pregnancy
- lack of German language skills
- an IQ below 70
- taking medication that can affect the function of the heart (e.g. beta-blockers)
