Consecutive patients assessed by three specialist Hand Surgeons in their routine outpatient clinics.

Name Time Method Main Objective: The aim of this study is to evaluate by a randomised control trial the efficacy of image guided injection into the 1st CMCJ of steroid/local anaesthetic versus local anaesthetic only in patients with osteoarthritis.;Secondary Objective: ;Primary end point(s): We have taken advice from the Trust Statistician and for a significant difference in pain scores to be detected (taken as a difference of 2 levels on a 7 point scale) 77 patients are required in each arm.
