The study included 50 consecutive patients with American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status 1 to 2, aged under 85 years, and undergoing TKRA under planned spinal epidural combine anesthesia
Patients with contraindications to central neuraxial block (e.g., coagulation defects, infection at puncture site, pre-existing neurological deficits in the lower extremities) or sensitivity to study drugs and intellectual impairments or psychiatric conditions precluding adequate communication were excluded from the study.
