- Brief Summary
This study is an interventional, single blinded, randomized controlled trial comparing the effect of intravenous Lignocaine, Dexmedetomidine and their combination on itraoperative haemodynamics, postoperative pain and Quality of recovery in patients undergoing Robotic Abdominal Hysterectomy, to be conducted in AIIMS Rishikesh, India over an expected duration 8 months. The primary outcome is to assess postoperative pain as measured by VAS at 4 hours postoperatively The secondary outcome are Time to first bowel sounds and flatus, Intraoperative consumption of propofol, fentanyl, and vecuronium, Post operative fentanyl requirement and QoR15 score on day 1,2 and on the day of discharge.

1.Female patients aged 30-65 years, 2.ASA grade I & II 3.Patients undergoing elective Robotic Abdominal Hysterectomy under general anaesthesia will be selected.
1.ASA grade III & IV patients 2.Age >65 years 3.BMI>35kg/m2 4.Allergy to local anaesthetic agents 5.History of use of opioid, analgesics and psychotropic drugs and beta blockers, substance abuse preoperatively 6.Uncontrolled hypertension, A-V conduction block, history of sleep apnoea.
