Inclusion criteria
-Age between 30-60 years
-had medically diagnosed T2D for at least 12 months prior to enrollment, and poor glycemic control defined as the HbA1c levels ≥ 8.5 %.
-All participants received oral hypoglycemic medication and had not participated in any regular exercise program for at least 6 months prior to commencement of the study.
Exclusion criteria were subjects treated with anti-inflammatory drugs, regularly consumed antioxidant supplements, had liver, kidney, cardiovascular diseases, hypertension, chronic infections, neuromuscular disorders, orthopedic problems or bone fracture.
