- •Critically ill children 2 years to <15 years of age with an acute need for invasive
- •mechanical ventilation(<= 72 hours) by oral endotracheal tube with
- •oxygenation index >= 4 or oxygen saturation index >= 5 with chest infiltrates
排除标准
- •Neuromuscular disease
- •Contraindications for trans-esophageal catheter insertion
- •Active uncontrolled esophageal or gastric bleeding
- •Traumatic brain injury
- •Extubation within 24 hours of intubation
