Eligibility Criteria

Inclusion Criteria

  • 1\. Pregnant women posted for Caesarean section at term
  • 2\.Pregnant patients with no known major comorbidities affecting neonatal outcome
  • 3\.Patients consenting for study
  • 4\.Antenatal level 2 normal USG
  • 5\.Maternal age less than 50 years

Exclusion Criteria

  • 1\. Patients not giving consent for the study
  • 2\. Patients with severe preeclampsia or eclampsia
  • 3\. Known allergy to local anesthetics
  • 4\. Uncorrected hypovolemia
  • 5\. Pregnancies complicated with severe cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases
  • 6\. Maternal age more than 50 years
  • 7\. Patients with raised intracranial pressure
  • 8\. Patients with coagulation disorders and bleeding diasthesis
