- •1. Mallampatti score I & II (Airway assessment to assess the mouth opening)
- •2. American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) Physical status I & II
- •3. Patient scheduled for surgery under general anaesthesia with orotracheal intubation in supine position.
- •4. Those who were to remain in the hospital for at least 24 hours postoperatively.
排除标准
- •1. Patients posted for emergency surgeries.
- •2. Patients undergoing oral cavity surgery, cervical spine surgery and thyroid surgery.
- •3. Patients requiring a nasogastric tube.
- •4. History of perioperative sore throat.
