Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria
- •ASA 1 and ASA 2
- •Patients requiring endotracheal intubation for elective surgeries under general anaesthesia.
- •Age between 18 and 60 years.
- •Both male and female patients
Exclusion Criteria
- •Patient refusal or inability to consent
- •Patients undergoing rapid sequence intubation.
- •Patients having restricted cervical extension and movements, tumours of oropharyngeal region, trauma to airway, previous surgeries in neck, local infection of neck, burns and swellings in neck region, previous difficult intubation.
- •Pregnant patients.
- •Obese patients BMI \>30kg/m2
- •Patients with any of the following conditions were predicted to have difficult airway
- •thyromental distance \<6cm
- •mouth opening \<3cm
- •cervical ankyloses
- •class IV Mallampati score
